Half the time the kids are just barely able to win against the digimon. Most of the digimon they fight could've just killed them but either the kids say something that's logical or the digimon runs away to do something else. Luckily Ginkakumon didn't want to fight.

But wasn't that the whole reason for this episode? To fight someone strong? xD

Eyy, TeslaJelly finally! Good times, though not as good as it could have been had they animated it better, but alas. Nothing to be done, now that it's out.

I am still enjoying the monster of the week scooby-doo sort of thing they've got going here, but I'm also very much looking forward to when the main plot kicks in. Maybe that'll be how they finish the first cour? Get everyone a digivolution (assuming that Angoramon actually does next week) and then have a big thing for 12 and 13 that leads into the main plot?

I agree, we got TeslaJellymon this week, and if Angoramon is next, then it means that the story is about to take a huge turn very soon.

Ehhh... I'm happy we GOT an evolution finally, but Jellymon > TeslaJellymon.

Overall, the series has been fun, but has not lived up to the initial hype and expectations in terms of storytelling, setting, and severity. Yes, I was probably foolish to expect so much out of it in the first place, but the mystery/horror setup is completely deflated by the Scooby Doo follow through. :/

I really like this series, some guys say it's bad cuz' it lacks action or deaths? but this tries to do something different with the Digimon IP, why always do the same? Pokémon got the balls to change it's formula in sun & moon and keept that with Journeys.

That's a big part of what I love about Digimon. Lots of people gave up on the series after Tamers premiered, but I give this franchise props for having the balls to change things up.

It's true, a lot of people think that Tamers is the apex if we talk about Digimon shows, and its true! But there are other Digimon shows that were good... and others that were bad...

Seriously asking.. Why would people think Tamers is the apex of Digimon series? My favorite actually goes for Savers (Data Squad) tho

Well... of all Digimon series, I think it had the most mature and darker story coupled with awesome characters and development, sure, a few other Digimon shows has all of that but not to the extend of what Tamers did.

We almost saw a Digimon dying last week for real, so I'm pretty sure death will be something we'll see in the future, there's no Digimon shows without dark stuff happening.

An interesting episode featuring new evolution from Jellymon-sama.. So, Higashi needs to have those integer overflow before he gets his personality switch into badass mode.. And based on Jellymon's words to wake up him (before electrocuting him, lol), it seems like they're truly the bearer of Crest of Love, probably mixed with Crest of Responsibility (if those things still relevant in this universe)

That aside, I think this anime is going to be quite consistent to Level-power because Jellymon is only able to beat Kinkakumon when she's in her Champion-form, Teslajellymon.. And, I totally respect this idea.. Also, probably this is the first episode where we get a lot of action scenes compared to the first 9 eps, and I also like this very much..

They almost certainly aren't, since they're really only relevant in the Adventure series. None since have had that matter for the main kids.

But it's not exactly that unrelevant, since most of other Digimon series main characters are still made based on those, especially Courage for MC, Friendship for Rival and Love for the main girl cast, in exception of Renamon and the Queen (forgot the name), and Karan Eri with her Dokkamon..

What a great ep, it answered some questions about Kiyo, we finally got see his digi-field (how fittingly Tron like) and we get to see a whole other side to Jellymon; its only ep 10, I'm surprised at how far and how much has already changed between Kiyo and Jellymon's partnership

The evolution kind of makes sense considering the circumstances but it sure was something I didn't expect to happen since the duo came last appearance-vise.

While I am liking this series, and as a fan of Tamers, I really can't consider this boring considering that show went whole episodes without fights and I actually kind of appreciated that, I will admit most of the fights have been pretty underwhelming. The fight in this episode was fine right up to the point where Jellymon Digivolved. One punch and it's over. Even before her evolution, the fight was at least intense and had a lot of focus but was surprisingly poorly animated for a modern Digimon season. I'm hoping this is all building up to something bigger. At least so far, it seems like they're just trying to show off each Digimon's abilities. Even Gammamon didn't do much after he evolved. Like, he flung a fireball into the other guy and that was it. To be fair, Digimon is often very heavily focused on story, and that's why I stick with the series. And to be fair, these fights still have a bit more going for them than in the original Adventure 01 where they repeatedly reused animation for the main characters' attacks.
